15 Minute Kettlebell Workout For Lower Back Pain
Improving movement and building strength is the best thing you can do to fix lower back pain, keep active, and maintain your lifestyle as you get older. The kettlebell is one of the best tools we have to improve movement and build strength. With that being said, if you are someone dealing with lower back pain it’s important that you choose the RIGHT kettlebell exercises to avoid aggravating the source of your pain. I’ve got you covered in this 15 minute kettlebell workout for lower back pain.
Equipment Needed
This kettlebell workout for lower back pain is designed to be performed using one kettlebell. The starting weight depends on your starting strength. I would recommend using a weight that you would describe as medium (not too light, not too heavy). If you have access to kettlebells of different weight, you can use heavier weights for RDL’s and Deadlifts (described later).
Exercises In Workout
For anyone with lower back pain, it’s important to pick exercises that are both safe and effective to avoid making things worse. Each exercise in this workout is designed to help you build strength while limiting impact on your spine. Most of the exercises below can be performed without weight. The kettlebell is a great way to add resistance to get more out of each exercise.
How To Perform
To perform this workout simply grab a timer and perform each movement for one minute (for each side of the suitcase carry). Start with the kettlebell glute bridge and work your way down. Once you have performed one time all the way through, repeat for a second time for a total of two sets.
